Uruguayan press reports revealed new developments regarding Darwin Nunez’s future with Al Hilal, amid a state of anticipation within the club’s corridors before the end of the season. “El Observador” newspaper reported that Al Hilal’s management had begun a comprehensive review of the file of foreign players, in preparation for making decisive decisions regarding the roster for the next season. It explained that Nunez is considered one of the most prominent names nominated to leave the team, especially in light of his limited participation during local competitions in the recent period. This is due to the player’s previous registration being limited. On the Asian list only, before Al Hilal was eliminated from the elite AFC Champions League, which reduced its chances of appearing. Al-Zaeem’s management seeks to resolve the file once and for all after the end of the current season, whether by keeping the player and including him in the local list, or marketing him and benefiting from him financially.
